Mary Beth Riley International Study or Service Award, February 2008
Girls Helping Girls recently had the honor of receiving the Mary Beth Riley International Study or Service Award from Notre Dame High School. This award is in acknowledgment of global awareness and action and comes with a $5,000 check, which Girls Helping Girls will use in a call to action in Calcutta, India. There, the team will assist the school in constructing its own library and begin an educational program featuring the Four Global Issues- eradicating poverty, increasing access to education, promoting peace, and improving health.
